Hello my long neglected food blog. I start the end of 2013 with a lovely place I visited earlier this year. It is Waterbar.
I think what brings all the cool kids to this place is their $1 Oyster Happy Hour that happens everyday between 11:30am to 5:30pm. And if you love oysters, you know that that is a pretty good price for fresh oysters on a half shell.
During happy hour, they serve their featured oyster as well as other bar snacks and drinks. I have tried the Goat Cheese Dip with Old Bay Chips, yum!! I've never had a fresh real potato chip before and it was delicious.
What's also very attractive other than those awesome happy hour prices, is the view. You get to see the bay bridge up close and personal as well a front seat view of the bay and Treasure Island. Nothing beats a view like that while slurping down some delicious oysters.
Tips: Well, more like a warning. Do not come here before/during/immediately after a Giants game. Why? Only street parking is available unless you opt for valet parking, and the meter prices are jacked up to about $6/hr if not more.
